How big is the gap between the life you're living and the man you say you want to be?

This is a measurement rather than a judgment. Twenty questions across four pillars, answered honestly, producing a number you have never actually had. Most men find the reading easier to carry than the suspicion it replaces.

    What the Scorecard Measures

Four domains, twenty honest questions, and a number that tells you where the widest gap is.

    Identity

Can you describe who you are without reaching for what you do? Most men find out here that they cannot.

    Standards

Are you living by standards you set, or by whatever the week made convenient?

    Discipline

When you tell yourself you will do something, does it happen on the days it costs you something?

    Expansion

Are your daily decisions building the capacity your next decade needs, or quietly spending it?

    Who built this

I built this for myself first.

I'm Steven Hoffman. I'm a COO in Miami, and I made this measurement for my own use years before anyone else saw it.

For most of my life, my sense of my own value — and of being loved — ran through how well I performed. I did not notice I was doing it. This scorecard is the first honest number I ever put on my own gap.

    What You'll Walk Away With

    • A score across four pillars, so the suspicion finally has a shape
    • Your widest gap named, which is where any real work has to start
    • A reading rather than a verdict — nobody is grading this and nobody else sees it
    • Under ten minutes, and it only works if you answer as you are rather than as you intend to be
    • A conversation with me if you want one, because I speak with everyone who finishes it

    This Is For You If…

→ You are successful where it shows and inconsistent where it does not

→ You can explain precisely what you should be doing, which has been no help

→ You have started before and could not name the day you stopped

→ You would rather have an uncomfortable number than keep carrying the suspicion

    Stop guessing. Take the reading.

You have been estimating this for years, and the estimate has never been kind. Ten minutes and you will have the actual number.
